The Fredericksburg Chapter of Virginia Organizing is partnering with the FAAC Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to put on a “meet and greet” for anyone in the area interested in planning a non-partisan get out the vote effort. This is especially pressing in light of the 206,000 newly-eligible voters whose rights were restored on April 22, 2016, by Governor McAuliffe’s executive order. A meeting specifically to plan a voter registration drive that will reach out to returning citizens will start at 6 p.m.; attendees will have time to network before and after.
