Join community members from across the Valley to rally against the proposed expansion of Middle River Regional Jail, and imagine our future without mass incarceration! We will hear testimonies from people directly impacted by local incarceration practices, and will feature a virtual interactive art installation by a local artist. Please wear a mask and try to stay 6 feet apart during testimonies if you plan to get out of your car!
Let’s end practices that have resulted in overcrowding in the facility! Our rally will take place on the eve of the Jail Authority Board’s meeting on April 6, where a vote on the future of the proposed jail expansion is expected.
