Virginia has an election in November, and Virginia Organizing has a Voter Guide to help you learn more about the candidates. The first day of early in-person voting was Friday, September 17. The deadline to register to vote or change your registration is Tuesday, October 12.
Please note that the requirement for a witness signature has been reinstated on absentee ballots. If you are voting by mail, remember to ask your witness to sign. If you already mailed your ballot without a witness signature, you can still visit your local registrar to make sure your vote is counted. The deadline to apply for a ballot to be mailed to you is Friday, October 22 2021. The request must be received by your local voter registration office by 5 p.m.
You will find more information about registration and voting in our Voter Guide. Download it here.
If you have lost your voting rights, the governor’s office has announced that, effective March 16, 2021, individuals are eligible to have their rights restored after being released from incarceration. Check to see if your rights have been restored or apply for restoration here.
We hope you find the guide helpful. Please contact us if you have any questions!
