Fredericksburg, Va.—Virginia Organizing will hold a workshop to help immigrant families prepare to apply for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parental Accountability (DAPA) and understand resources available for the process. Virginia Organizing will also provide information on local immigration issues, such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holds.
“People come to the U.S. to work, to be law-abiding citizens, as they have for generations,” said Virginia Organizing Fredericksburg Chapter leader Steve Rabson. “Immigrants should not be deported; they should be given an opportunity for employment and a pathway to citizenship. The upcoming workshop will help people apply for DACA and DAPA relief and help community members better understand the issues facing our immigrant neighbors.”
Virginia Organizing supports comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship.
