A Flood of Voices

By Debra Grant

Hurricane IsabelVirginia Organizing, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, and the Sierra Club of Virginia have teamed up to raise awareness about the flooding in the South Hampton Roads area.

South Hampton Roads is one of the most vulnerable places in the U.S. for flooding due to sea level rise—something I witness as a resident in this area.

We’re working to make sure that people who are affected by flooding have an opportunity to talk about it and be a part of changing the culture in Virginia to acknowledge the problem and work toward solutions!

Check out the Flood of Voices blog at floodofvoices.tumblr.com to hear more stories, share your own story, and learn how to be a part of the movement that demands change. Don’t forget to share with your friends and others who might want to be a part of this movement!

Together, we can do something about the problems facing South Hampton Roads communities.

Sincerely,
