Waynesboro, VA: The Augusta/Staunton/Waynesboro Chapter of Virginia Organizing is holding two community forums to educate voters on what form of identification they need to bring to the polls this year to make their vote count. Forums will be held at the Waynesboro Library and at Mary Baldwin College to reach the maximum number of voters. Local registrars and the Governor's Voter ID Awareness Campaign representative will be available to answer questions and provide guidance for voters in the upcoming election. 

Virginia Organizing chapter leader Elizabeth LaGrua believes these events will help voters understand their rights and responsibilities on Election Day. "One of the reasons we are doing this is because we kept running into people who are confused about what they need to bring to the polls due to the changes in the law. We felt it was important to get registrars of the different communities out to explain exactly what is needed for different people to vote because we want everyone to be able to vote and choose their elected officials."
