Barbara Kingsolver is the author of some of the greatest work of our time. Her books include The Poisonwood Bible (1998), Prodigal Summer (2000), Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life (2007), and many other award-winning publications. She was named one of the most important writers of the 20th Century by Writers Digest and received the National Humanities Medal, the highest honor for service through the arts, in 2000.
