Harrisonburg, Va.—On Monday, October 21 at noon, Virginia Organizing leaders will hold a media conference and deliver petition signatures and other letters of support for comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship to U.S. Representative Bob Goodlatte’s Harrisonburg office.
Stan Maclin, a Virginia Organizing Harrisonburg Chapter leader, believes that comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship is one of the most important issues that Congress can work on.
“The government is back in business, the debt-ceiling crisis was averted, and now we need to focus on ensuring that 11 million immigrants have a path to citizenship,” said Maclin. “These are people who are already actively contributing to our communities and deserve a chance to earn their citizenship.”
