Nearly 80 people gathered in front of the Virginia General Assembly this morning to protest undue influence of corporations on our democracy and to call on the General Assembly just begining the 2012 session to fight for issues like health care, the environment, workers' rights, womens' health rights and more.
As the legislators made their way into the building for their first session of the year, they were greeted with dozens of unemployed workers, parents, teachers, union members, environmental activists, faith leaders, health care advocates and college students.
