Leave a Legacy of Challenging Injustice
–
Planned Giving Is For Everyone
Many Virginia Organizing supporters choose to leave a donation in their wills and trusts as an important way to have long-term impact, without any upfront cost during their lifetimes.
Making a will is one of the most impactful ways to extend your love and generosity for your family and friends. It can also help empower people to make positive change in local communities.
By leaving a gift to Virginia Organizing in your will or trust, you are building a powerful legacy of combating injustice.
Legacy giving isn’t only for the wealthy — gifts of any size are deeply appreciated, and there is a wide range in gift sizes from $50 to $1 million.
How to begin
If you choose to leave a gift in your will, we suggest the following language and please advise us of your intentions:
“I bequeath (amount OR percentage) to Virginia Organizing, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of Virginia, with the principal business address of 703 Concord Ave, Charlottesville, VA 22903 and federal tax identification number 54- 1674992.”
If you already have a will, your attorney can add a codicil with this language so that you don’t have to begin again.
