Lynchburg, Va. — Virginia Organizing, Many Voices – One Community, and Virginia Interfaith Center will hold a public forum on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the main branch of the Lynchburg Public Library to provide information about and discuss the importance of Medicaid Expansion. Faith leaders, members of affected communities, and health care advocates will speak about the urgent need to expand health care coverage to all Virginians.

Community leader Leslie King says, “Given the vote for Medicaid expansion that passed the Virginia House and is on its way to the Senate Finance Committee next week, this is a critical time to gather the community for a conversation to increase understanding about the need to expand Medicaid in Virginia. Expanding Medicaid will help to ensure adequate Healthcare for many uninsured Virginians and to reduce health disparities.”
