The Danville chapter made a Local Jobs for America Act (HR 4812) presentation at the June 15 City Council meeting, bringing 200 signed letters of support for the legislation and over a dozen community members to stand up for those in need of work here in the city. While the council did not vote on the proposed resolution at this meeting, chapter members haven't lost their enthusiasm and are setting up small group meetings with individual city councilors over the coming weeks and look forward to a good win for the unemployed and underemployed of Southside in the near future!
