What: Community Cookout to Promote Civic Engagement and Reproductive Justice

Waynesboro, Va. — Virginia Organizing’s Waynesboro Chapter will hold a community cookout Sunday, October 9, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the North Park pavilion to build community and create a safe and brave space for neighbors to discuss civic engagement and reproductive justice in the city. There will be free food, music by DJ Adonis, community resources, games, raffle prizes, and more! Volunteers will be available to help folks restore civil rights, register to vote, update voter registration, find your polling location, and share information about what to expect on the ballot for the November 8 election. LIFEworks Project, Blue Ridge Abortion Fund, and Virginia Organizing will be in attendance with resources.
