What: Affordable Care Act Workshop

Charlottesville, Va.—On Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Charlottesville City Council Chambers, Virginia Organizing will host an educational workshop on the most current information about the Affordable Care Act. Jill Hanken of the Virginia Poverty Law Center will provide information and answer questions about the new Health Insurance Marketplace and how people can purchase affordable insurance.

 

"The Affordable Care Act has made it possible for millions to access affordable, quality health insurance,” said Hanken. “Parts of the law that require individuals to have insurance will take effect starting in 2014. The workshop is an opportunity for people to come learn more about the requirements, what options are available, what discounts and credits are available, and how to sign up for coverage through the new Health Insurance Marketplace." 

 

Virginia Organizing is working with various organizations across the state to spread the word about the new Health Insurance Marketplace. Virginia Poverty Law Center is a designated Navigator organization to help uninsured individuals access and understand options on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
