Wise County Chapter and Partners to Hold Community Conversations on Nuclear Reactors

“The Clinch Coalition, Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards, Appalachian Peace Education Center, Virginia Organizing Wise County Chapter, the Alliance for Appalachia — announced the Community Conversation meeting schedule on Monday to cover 10 meetings across Wise and Scott counties and Norton.”

Come out to learn more and share your views about small nuclear reactors being built in the region.

Meetings begin at 6 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

• Jan. 18 — Clintwood VA. Community Center

• Jan. 19 — Pound Town Hall

• Jan. 20 — Wise, UVA Wise Alumni Hall

• Jan. 22 — Big Stone Gap Visitors Center

• Jan. 23 — Appalachia Lions Club

• Jan. 25 — Norton Community Center

• Jan. 26 — Coeburn Depot

• Jan. 27 — Duffield, Stickleyville Community Center

• Jan. 29 — Dungannon Train Depot

• Jan. 30 — St. Paul, UVA Wise Oxbow Center
