Do you remember how many times we fought so hard to get workers a living wage?

Today, we need your help to stop some bad legislation that would prohibit a locality from enacting any policy that requires an employer within the locality to provide an employee with a wage or employment benefit that exceeds the requirements of state or federal law.

Will you call Governor Terry McAuliffe at 804-786-2211 and ask him to veto House Bill 1371 that would prohibit local governments from adding wage requirements in their localities?

Virginia Organizing believes that nobody working full time should live in poverty. Increased wages help families fight poverty and boost the local economy.

If HB 1371 goes into effect, it will undo some of the good work Virginia Organizing and other groups have done over the years to increase wages.

Please call Governor McAuliffe at 804-786-2211 and ask him to veto House Bill 1371.
