What can we do to make Virginia a better place?
What do I draw/paint/create?
The Virginia Organizing Project is holding an art contest to celebrate its 15th anniversary of organizing communities across the state to make Virginia a better place. We want to know what you would do, with the help of your friends, family and community to make Virginia a better place. Your imagination is your only limit! We want your ideas of ways that people can come together to make things in their neighborhoods and Virgnia better. Please submit your colorful, original works of art in the medium of your choice.
Who can enter?
The contest is open to Virginia residents under the age of 18. Winners will be chosen based on the following age categories: ages 5 to 11; and ages 12 to 18.
What can I win?
The first prize winner in each age category will win a Flip Cam digital video camera and will be featured in the Virginia Organizing Project newsletter. First and second runners up will also receive gift baskets. All submissions will be featured on the Virginia Organizing website.
When is the deadline?
Submissions must be received by Augus 2, 2010. Winners will be notified on August 7th either in person at the 15th Anniversary Celebration in Richmond or by phone on August 8th.
