This year's General Assembly session has been filled with 45 days of Virginia Organizing leaders filing through the halls in small groups, hoping for the chance to see their legislators and speak to some of the issues affecting their communities. Instead of doing a large lobby day, we brought folks to the GA in small groups to give folks time to learn about the legislative process. Some of Virginia Organizing's student chapter leaders came to the General Aseembly on February 11 to meet with their legislators and learn about citizen lobbying at the General Assembly. Here are some videos showing their impressions, good and bad, of the oldest legislative body in the Western Hemishpere.
