Right now, Governor Bob McDonnell has Medicaid expansion in his hands. He has the ability to let the budget amendments, including the one that creates a path to Medicaid expansion, pass or the ability to veto that provision.

Medicaid expansion will provide over 400,000 Virginians with insurance, create 30,000 health care jobs and bring billions to Virginia's economy. The expansion is a common sense policy that will help so many Virginians. 

 

The Medicaid Innovation and Reform Commission was created by a bipartisan group of Virginia Senators and Delegates and overwhelmingly approved by the House of Delegates and Senate. Let's make sure Governor McDonnell knows that this is what the people of Virginia want!
