Did you receive my letter? I certainly hope so! If not, you can read it in full right now by clicking here.
As I said in my letter, we are in difficult and important times. While we do not know all the implications of this week’s election, we do know that it’s getting harder to exercise our right to vote because of photo ID laws and harder to have our voices heard because of unfair redistricting practices.
There is hope. Grassroots organizing gives us hope because it addresses something that the political parties don’t–building relationships to create real, lasting, and meaningful change in communities.
Every single day, Virginia Organizing is helping people who are directly affected by the issues we work on raise their voices through grassroots organizing. I know this because I am one of those people.
I hope you will read my story and consider making a donation to Virginia Organizing. If you have already made a donation, thank you—it is going to grassroots organizing and fighting for justice!
If you have not made a donation, you can do so by clicking here to be taken to our secure donation page, or by mail to 703 Concord Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
As I said in my letter, things can change for the better when we all work together. That’s what organizing is all about!
Please get involved with Virginia Organizing in a way that stirs your passion and please also give generously today so that the voices of the people can be heard.
Take care,
Debra Grant
