About the New River Valley Chapter

The New River Valley Chapter became one of Virginia Organizing’s chapters in April 2017. In the beginning, the chapter focused on a local campaign to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline in Montgomery County. Our chapter continues to bring community members together to organize for social change by holding monthly chapter meetings, campaign strategy meetings, organizing workshops, voter registration drives, and canvassing in local neighborhoods.

The chapter meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month on Zoom. Join us as we build community power that wins real improvement in people’s lives.
