For Immediate Release: September 13, 2016

Charlottesville, Va. — Sierra Club Virginia Chapter and Virginia Organizing are pleased to host former UVA professor and prominent climate scientist Michael Mann for a presentation about his new book, The Madhouse Effect. While a professor at the University of Virginia, Mann’s research drew fire from then Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who sued UVA in an attempt to discredit Mann’s climate research. The book is co-authored by Tom Toles, editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post.
This event will be held at Charlottesville City Hall, 605 East Main Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902, on Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m., where Dr. Mann will speak on “The Madhouse Effect”.
Dr. Mann is available for media interviews. To set up an interview, please contact Glen Besa, glenbesa@gmail.com
