Fredericksburg Virginia Organizing Leader Spoke Out on Immigration in Washington, D.C. Today

Fredericksburg, Va.—Fredericksburg Virginia Organizing leader Domingo Bautista attended a media conference in Washington, D.C. today to discuss how he and his family will be directly affected by the administrative relief offered by President Barack Obama’s recent executive action on immigration.

Bautista, a small business owner, has three children who are United States citizens.

“I hope, through the President’s executive action, I will be able to live free of fear, which means that I will be able to move forward and advance in this country,” said Bautista. “My greatest fears are the separation of my family, and knowing that, no matter how much time I have spent making a life in this country, from one day to the other, I could lose everything.”

Bautista and others attended the media conference today to call on Congress to take steps toward comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship instead of working to undermine the relief efforts of the President.
