NRV Chapter Calls on School Board to Fight Racism

On August 15, leaders and supporters from the New River Valley Chapter of Virginia Organizing attended the Montgomery County School Board’s regular meeting to ask for a public statement in support of diversity and inclusion. Several leaders spoke during public comment to share their personal experiences with racism in county schools. The campaign, launched earlier this summer, will continue to meet with school board members, recruit new parents and community members, and call on the school board to fight racism.
