The purpose of the national movement, “Day without Child Care,” is to put the spotlight on the true cost of care and demand the funding Americans need for a 21st century child care system.
Their demands include
- An equitable child care system, built on racial and gender justice
- Thriving wages for child care providers
- Affordable child care for all families.
