Virginia Organizing Demands Newport News City Council Address Homelessness Crisis

Newport News, Va. — Virginia Organizing’s Newport News/Hampton Chapter will hold a press conference tomorrow, October 5, at 11 a.m. outside the Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter to demand that the Newport News City Council address the city’s homelessness crisis. Speakers will compare the generous regional support for an animal shelter to the lack of resources or concern for people who cannot afford housing.
