What: Ten Thousand Villages will donate a portion of sales to Virginia Organizing

Charlottesville, Va. — Ten Thousand Villages Charlottesville, 105 West Main Street, is partnering with Virginia Organizing on Sunday, December 2 to raise money to support their work. Virginia Organizing helps bring people together to create a more just Virginia for everyone.
A portion of sales from 1 to 5 p.m. will be donated to Virginia Organizing.
Virginia Organizing is a non-partisan statewide grassroots organization dedicated to challenging injustice by empowering people in local communities to address issues that affect the quality of their lives. Virginia Organizing especially encourages the participation of those who have traditionally had little or no voice in our society. By building relationships with individuals and groups throughout the state, Virginia Organizing strives to get them to work together, democratically and non-violently, for change.
Ten Thousand Villages is a not for profit fair trade retailer that works to provide a market for hand-crafted products made by people in marginalized areas of the world. Currently, Ten Thousand Villages works with more than 20,000 artisans.
