Virginia Organizing Will Hold Second Annual “Thank Taxes” Rally

Charlottesville, Va. — On Monday, April 16, the day before Tax Day, Virginia Organizing is holding its second annual “Thank Taxes” Rally at 12:30 p.m. near the Free Speech wall in front of City Hall.

Virginia Organizing speakers and members will remind the public of the many positive and essential services and benefits that we pay for with our federal, state, and local taxes, from our judicial system to air traffic control, from safe food to clean air to snow removal.

A special spotlight will be shone on public education, which is every American’s ticket to a better future, especially in these troubled times.  After the rally, Virginia Organizing leaders will take flowers to each of the Charlottesville public schools and to the central office, to thank educators for the care and professionalism with which they put our tax dollars to work on behalf of the next generation.
