Virginia Organizing to Host Forum on Public School Funding and the State Budget

 

Residents to Call on General Assembly to Protect Our Kids’ Future by

Investing in Our Public Schools

 

STAUNTON-As the Virginia General Assembly debates the upcoming budget, Virginia Organizing is hosting a forum on Wednesday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (7:00pm) on proposed budget cuts to public education. After four years of deep cuts to education, the forum will address how more cuts will undermine our schools' mission and the future of our community.

 

Staunton City Schools Interim Superintendent Ed Clymore will give a presentation on the effects of state budget cuts to our city’s schools.
