Sixth Annual Social Justice Bowl

October 22, 2010 9:11 pm by: Category: Charlottesville-Albemarle A+ / A-

Virginia Organizing held its sixth annual Social Justice Bowl on Friday, October 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Rugby Road. The Social Justice bowl is a community building event as well as a fundraiser.

Local folks came by for a soup and bread supper and got to take home their handcrafted sou bowls! Handcrafted bowls were donated by local potters.  Proceeds go to support Virginia Organizing’s efforts for worker’s rights, living wages, education, health care reform, dismantling racism, LGBT rights, immigrant rights, voter registration and mobilization, criminal justice reform and affordable housing.
