Virginia Organizing to Host Their Seventh Annual Social Justice Bowl

Charity Event Supports Social Justice Efforts

Charlottesville, VA –Virginia Organizing will hold its sixth annual Social Justice Bowl on Friday, October 22, at 6:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Rugby Road. The Social Justice bowl is a community building event as well as a fundraiser.

The Virginia Organizing Project encourages local residents to come for a soup and bread supper and take home their soup bowl. Handcrafted bowls have been donated by local potters. Proceeds go to support Virginia Organizing’s efforts for worker’s rights, living wages, education, health care reform, dismantling racism, LGBT rights, immigrant rights, voter registration and mobilization, criminal justice reform and affordable housing.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. They are $25 and are available at Quest Bookstore, Timberlake’s Drug Store, The Batesville Store and at the Virginia Organizing office at 703 Concord Avenue or by calling 434-984-4655 x229.
