It’s been a great year here at Virginia Organizing and we hope you got to participate in some of the many actions and trainings we’ve done! I want you to know about a few important things going on as we finish up the year.
First, we are making progress on our fundraising goals for 2013!
What does this mean? It means we are one step closer to our goal of growing our organizing staff from 12 to 20 organizers and increasing grassroots power across the state of Virginia. We created a new one-page flyer that you can find by clicking here to detail where Virginia Organizing is currently and where we hope to be by the end of 2016.
If you have already made a contribution this year, thank you. Your donation is going to create a more just Virginia. If you still need to make a contribution (or want to make another donation!), you can do so by clicking here to be taken directly to our online donation page.
Donations in someone’s honor make great last minute holiday gifts!
Second, I want to tell you a little more about a very, very important issue facing Virginians this upcoming General Assembly session and ask for your help in talking to your family and friends about Medicaid expansion this holiday season.
Medicaid expansion is a fiscally responsible policy that will create jobs, strengthen Virginia’s economy, and provide much needed health care for 400,000 Virginians who are working low-wage jobs. If you click here, you’ll find a helpful handout with facts about Medicaid expansion that you can share with your family and friends.
Finally, I want to personally wish you a very happy holiday season! I hope this year has been as good for you as it has for Virginia Organizing. Let’s keep working to make Virginia a more just place for all people!
