Virginia Organizing to Receive City Proclamation Commemorating 20th Anniversary

What: City Proclamation Honoring Virginia Organizing’s 20th Anniversary

Charlottesville, Va.—Virginia Organizing will be presented with a proclamation honoring the organization’s 20th anniversary at the Charlottesville City Council meeting on Monday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

“Virginia Organizing works hard every day against social injustice, disenfranchisement, and racial discrimination,” said Charlottesville Chapter leader Davon Miller. “As a young black man, I’m proud to be part of an organization that has been fighting for 20 years to make Virginia a better place.”

Virginia Organizing Chapters across the Commonwealth are celebrating the 20 years of grassroots organizing for social change throughout 2015.
