Virginia Organizing to Screen Documentary and Register Voters at ODU

What: “The Dream is Now” documentary screening and voter registration
 
When: Thursday, October 3 at 6 p.m.
 
Where: River Rooms, Webb Center (Old Dominion University)
 

Norfolk, Va.—On Thursday, October 3 at 6 p.m., Virginia Organizing will host a screening of the documentary “The Dream is Now” at the Webb Center of Old Dominion University.
 
“DREAMers and their families across the U.S. have been waiting for comprehensive immigration reform with a path to earn citizenship. This documentary will help make this struggle more real and put a human face on the immigration debate,” said Maria Fornella, Virginia Organizing South Hampton Roads Chapter leader.
 
The documentary focuses on the stories of four young immigrants who are working hard to earn their citizenship in the country they call home. Voter registration will follow the documentary.
